Autodesk Legacy Program

What is the Autodesk Legacy Program?

When a product such as AutoCAD 2006 reaches its end of life, Autodesk publicly retires the product which makes the product no longer valid for upgrades. Instead, Autodesk offers new licenses at a 30% discount. In doing this, you do not forfeit the old license.

Who is eligible?

Customers with qualifying product licenses which were not upgraded before their respective, publicly announced retirement dates.

What Products Qualify for the Legacy Program?

As of March 15, 2009, products on the following AutoCAD platforms qualify:

AutoCAD 14, AutoCAD 2000, AutoCAD 2000i, AutoCAD 2002, AutoCAD 2004, AutoCAD 2005, AutoCAD 2006

Autodesk Inventor Series 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

AutoCAD LT software is not eligible under this program but may be eligible under a seperate promotional program. Please contact us to confirm what options exist for older AutoCAD LT Products.

This is not a complete list; please contact us if you think you might have a qualifying product.

Are there any requirements?

Yes, to receive the 30% discount on your new license purchase, you must purchase the software with Autodesk Subscription (the price of Autodesk Subscription is not discounted). Even with the additional cost of Autodesk Subscription, your overall savings is still much greater than buying a full new license without subscription and you receive all the benefits of being an Autodesk Subscription customer.
