Basic Function of Role:
As an MSD Sales Account Manager, the candidate will be responsible for activities that are a healthy mixture of maintaining existing accounts, while actively pursuing new opportunities and establishing new clients. The candidate will conduct sales activities from within the SolidCAD Richmond Hill office, and will be expected to conduct client visits when developing medium to large-sized opportunities, with support from the MSD technical staff and sales manager.
Geography: Ideally, the candidate should live within a reasonable commute of the Richmond Hill office. The majority of clients will be within 50 km’s of Richmond Hill office. Sales territory will also include the GTA east of HWY 27 as far as Trenton and north of the GTA to Newmarket.
Characteristics / Experience:
- Must have 1-3 years of sales experience, with proven ability to reach or exceed targets, while developing long-term relationships with clients.
- Must have moderate to extensive knowledge of the Manufacturing & Mechanical discipline. The more experience in this field, the better the applicant will be suited to this position.
- Individual should have at least a basic level of knowledge or experience in the CAD/CAM software industry. Experience with Autodesk software is a significant advantage.
- Applicant must be professional in attitude, presentable and well dressed.
- Individual should demonstrate superior communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Must have ability to develop relationships with IT, Management and Principals.
- Energetic team player who is comfortable working under pressure and willing to go the extra mile.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities, develop new contacts and apply new information quickly.
- Previous experience using CRM software, and the ability to generate and present complex proposals using Microsoft software is highly beneficial.
- Superior analytical & problem solving skills.
- Willing to travel, holds a valid drivers license.
Duties:
- Establish rapport with existing clients, document and understand the history of products & services provided, and continue in a sales supporting role by maintaining regular contact and developing relationships with individuals at all levels within a given account.
- Identify new business opportunities based on new potential markets, new geographic areas, and where directed by the Sales Manager.
- Solicit into companies where SolidCAD is not actively involved. Promote SolidCAD’s products and services and develop new relationships and business opportunities.
- Provide customers and prospects with product information, pricing and company information in a professional, timely manner.
- Work as a team, together with sales & technical staff to help identify, develop and close business opportunities, as motivated by targets and quotas.
- Update and maintain information in CRM system, keep accurate forecasts and history of communications, as well as target marketing lists, contacts and all customer information.
